
ZANUSSI
NEW B-I QUADRO RANGE
A new range of built-in Quadro appliances to reenergise and reaffirm the Zanussi design identity. The range maintains the same vertical alignment, clean lines and rigorous form that Zanussi established with its award-winning Quadro products in 1999.
Following on from the free-standing 'easy' campaign, the new B-I Quadro Range was next in-line for a facelift. The brief was to re-energise the old Quadro Range and create consistency between all the B-I product lines, highlighting the easy to use features and smart technologies.
The project followed a process in which we carried out consumer research to test and validate our concept designs. This consisted of producing models based on competitor research, target users, segmentation and trends. These test samples are shown to a target audience and the results are evaluated. The findings, positive or negative are then put back into the design for the next step. I attended some of these research sessions and felt it was a valuable and necessary experience.
The aesthetic of the new range was considered to be ‘graphic’. facelift, I had a full control over this. From building on the past Zanussi Quadro heritage and incorporating the new research, the new range was born.
